O Happy Day Handmade Giveaway

After three miscarriages, the best giftS were a lesson in patience and faith resulting in the “presents” of my two daughters.

As much as I would like to keep this to myself…the best give I gave was when I took over an orphan child and supported him for 10years till he was an adult and able to take care of himself.
He gave me the best gift back – which is to grow up to be a lovely man who is now training to be an accountant.

Oh, what a beautiful piece of work! I would have to say the best gift was during my biggest that came from my mom. My first child was born in June 2001 while we were at our new military unit. While I was on summer break/maternity leave from teaching, my husband was deployed because of the events of 9-11. I was working full time as a teacher and completely frazzled about daycare and scared for my husband.

My mother dropped her life and moved in with us for the 9 months he was overseas to be my son’s caregiver. She has always said she would be there whenever she needed us, I didn’t realize how much she meant that.

the best gift I have recieved has to be tolerance with a bit of forgiveness mixed in. I always pushed the envelope when I was younger, and my parents never gave up. Now I hope to do the same for my children when they need it. I’m so glad the site is back! Can’t wait to see what else you have in store for us.

  5. My most satisfying gift is one that I gave. My husband and I moved from Scotland to Melbourne, Australia three years ago and as a leaving gift, we gave my best friend of 21 years (and Godmother of my 12 month old boy) a return ticket to Oz. She was between jobs at the time and couldn’t have afforded it otherwise. Made saying goodbye a WHOLE lot easier knowing that we’d see her in 6 months!

best gift has to be the Big Bird sweater my mom knit for me when I was IN COLLEGE! 🙂
15 years too late, but how could I not love it?

Just added your shop as a favorite on Etsy. I love Etsy for making it so easy for me to give great handmade items as gifts, especially to babies and kids!

After my mom was diagnosed with breast cancer I shared her story with some friends in my small group from Bible study and a few others that are close to me. Shortly after I received an envelope in the mail with $200 in it with an anonymous note telling me the money was for me to get a plane ticket to visit my mom. Money was very tight at that time and that only increased the meaning of such an amazing and generous gift. That gift filled me with so many emotions it was a bit overwhelming. I am truly blessed to have friends that care so much about me and my mom too. thanks for the chance to share my story.

The comments here are so inspiring!! I am touched by how many of them are just about gratitude and people, not about bling and things!
Thanks for bringing this blog back–I love it! I hope you will continue to do posts about starting and running an e-commerce business again, too! Thanks.
