I had one of the most exciting moments as a mama last week, my little girl Ila won the Oeuf Dream Dress Up’s competition with her mushroom girl outfit pictured above. Her design will be hand made for her in Bolivia by Oeuf’s team of knitters who are “a self-managed community of indigenous women. In line with fair trade principles, our artisans are paid a living wage, which enables them to afford healthcare and education for their children.” There is also the possibility that her design will be added to the Oeuf 2011 collection! Ila is over the moon excited and has started illustrating her line of fanciful monster costumes. A diva is born! I can’t wait to share the actual suit with you when it arrives and get some photos of my little bug in her suit. Check out the other pictures that were selected as finalists here.
**UPDATE**
Here is Ila rocking her Oeuf outfit!
Thanks Oeuf for making Ila’s mushroom fairy dreams come true, you did an awesome job!
