by Jessika Hepburn, O Happy Day Handmade
Last month I came across LottieDaBaby on Etsy and featured the beautiful Little Red Riding Hood apron dress pictured above in a Red Riding Hood themed Etsy treasury. I added the shop to my favorites with the intention of including an item or two in a future OMHG post. So I thought it was great when owner Amy Routh contacted me out of the blue to introduce me to her work! I love synchronicity like that and after spending some more time looking at her products (and Lauryn Byrdy’s incredible photos) I thought a fall feature was in order.

Meet Amy Routh, owner and designer of Lottie Da Baby Boutique:
After over 10 years working as a designer in the fashion industry, I was bursting with ideas for a unique store concept focusing on beautifully designed and handcrafted items for children. Inspired by my daughter Charlotte (hence the name LottieDa) & with the support of my loving husband, I decided to leave the corporate world and create my own opportunity. I made my dream a reality when I opened my boutique 1 year ago. My store is a creative, whimsical space where I sell my designs alongside a handpicked assortment of unique gifts, toys, bedding and clothing for children. In the back of the store is my design studio where I create my dress line and also work with clients on custom nursery designs. I am proud to offer a unique shopping experience where customers can see the design process first hand.
My LottieDaBaby Etsy shop was created as an extension of my boutique business. I wanted an online presence where I could showcase my clothing line and custom nursery designs nationally. One of the things I’ve enjoyed the most during my first year of business, is all the inspiring mompreneurs I’ve met through Etsy and locally in Columbus. Moms like me, chasing their dreams and setting wonderful examples for our children to follow.

About Lottie Da Designs:
My signature style is sweet, eclectic, and modern but with vintage and retro influences. I love bold color and pattern and enjoy mixing prints in unexpected ways. My dress designs come in sizes infant through preschool age and I do accept custom orders. In addition to my dress line I offer a custom bedding design service for expecting parents who are looking to create a unique, one of a kind nursery.
