Some Things I Love Too Much Not To Share

Friday, November 5, 2010 by Jessika Hepburn

by Jessika Hepburn, O Happy Day Handmade

Some things are so fabulous they stop you in your tracks, while I am busy going over submissions and getting the word out for our Handmade Holidays giveaway (don’t forget to enter!), I thought I would share a few of my inspirations for the month. Enjoy!

gifted magazine, creature comforts blog, holiday shopping guide

From the endlessly inspiring Creature Comforts blog comes a compendium of all things beautiful and worth coveting: Gifted Magazine is a free online holiday magazine and gift guide. Filled with gifts, tutorials, recipes and articles from a rock star list of artists, designers and bloggers, this is a go to shopping guide this year and I am looking forward to the day when I can pick Gifted Magazine up in print! Also be sure to visit the behind the scenes look of the making of the magazine.

catherine campbell, illustration

I don’t have words to express how much I adore these illustrations by my new favorite illustrator, Catherine Campbell, I had to physically restrain myself from sharing every image in her portfolio. Absolutely gorgeous. I want a house full!

made by mae, modern reusable wall decals

I was smitten with Mae right from the logo: whimsical, modern and quirky, a perfect combination. And their re-usable fabric decals are as fantastic as their logo-the dress up “dolls” are unbelievably awesome! Definitely on my Christmas wishlist-and maybe (or maybe not) I’ll let my little girl play with them….maybe.

What handmade finds have you added to your Christmas wish list this year?

Care/Carry/Cure an essay from ‘You Care Too Much’

In June of 2016 I supported my love Chris as we dealt with the death of both his parents and a co-worker over a three week period. This essay written the summer of those deaths is my attempt to make sense of grief and the struggle to carry all that I care for. Originally published […]
