Oh My! Handmade is a cheerful happy place filled with equally cheerful people who genuinely want you to succeed, live your dreams, and have a lovely life filled with good things. We’re supportive and are happy to share ideas, the lessons we’ve learned and how we’ve grown. We’re not here for the profit (although marketing is nice of course) we are here because we love handmade and want to share that love with you. Sadly, the rest of the world isn’t always so warm & fuzzy. There are pitfalls & places where you should step carefully & be informed. This month we are looking at some of the darker sides of doing business & being online. We are going to be shining our lights into these dark corners-I hope you come with us and share your thoughts.
Our theme for the month is Business & Blogging Ethics-maybe not the prettiest theme, but we’ll be putting our spin on it! It’s Ethics Awareness month in the U.S.A & with so many great posts circulating in the blogging world sparking discussion about some of these issues, it is perfect timing to share our experiences on this topic. We’re talking about copyright & intellectual property, plagiarism/copy cats, big business, taxes, insurance, blog giveaways, sponsorship, crediting sources, collaborating with others, wholesale & retail, underselling, advertising, marketing & PR + more.
Above all we’re going to be offering solutions, ideas and ways to grow, to promote and connect ethically & happily. We have some special guest features & the collective knowledge & experience of more then 20 contributors + you on board. We are a creative force to be reckoned with-so let’s get started!
