Introducing SeedMommy + a Business Makeover Contest!

Friday, March 30, 2012 by Jessika Hepburn

mommy business makeover contest, seedmommy

A special guest post & opportunity for your business from Toni Bloomfield of SeedMommy.com

It all started with window treatments.  I had looked high and low for window treatments for our newly renovated home.  Having no luck, I complained to a friend who in turn recommended her friend, a stay at home mom.  I looked at her work and hired her.  She created custom window treatments for 3 rooms in our house for a fraction of the price other places wanted.  When she was installing them, she told me what a difference these jobs made to her family.  That’s when it hit me.  I want to support a Mom Business whenever, how ever I can.  Wouldn’t it be great if there was a place to go where you could shop and support Moms in Business?

Three years later and two websites, SeedMommy.com and The Mommy Shops have worked with hundreds of Mom Businesses helping them market their businesses.  Whether its a product, a direct sales business or a service, the two site work hand and hand promoting Mom Businesses.  SeedMommy – helping Mom Businesses Grow, focuses on providing information to help Moms no matter where they are in the business.  From just planting the seed to watching an idea bloom, SeedMommy helps businesses every step of the way with information, resources and a community a Moms who are their to support you. Our new site, The Mommy Shops, is a unique marketplace featuring products made by, sold by and invented by Moms.  We started the site with the goal of giving shoppers a place to shop just Mom Owned Businesses.

My background is in journalism and public relations.  I worked as a television news producer for over 10 years and as a public relations/media relations manager for a large non profit.  My goal with these sites was to create a space where Moms can get information on their terms.  Easy to read, understand and use in the building their business.  With my background, I have worked to provide Mom business owners unbiased information to help their businesses grow.

Currently on SeedMommy, we are giving away a complete Mommy Business Makeover.  Everything from new branding from OMHG contributor Lisa Bacon of Moxie Pear, to an SEO package for your business, PR services, social media services and a featured post here on OMHG.  Stop by and enter your business in our contest today!
