Last week I wrote about how in June I got to visit Etsy HQ in Brooklyn to get certified as an Etsy Educator. It was a whirlwind 72 hour trip of non-stop excitement, new experiences, + meeting online friends for real hugs and adventures. Brooklyn felt like coming home to somewhere I have always known, my Nana was a Jewish Brooklynite who gave me a copy of A Tree Grows in Brooklyn when I was 9. Brooklyn is one of the friendliest places I have ever been (coming from a Canadian that is saying something!) and I loved people-watching and window shopping in this vibrant city. Come along for a sunny stroll through Brooklyn streets, a paw through the Brooklyn Flea, lunch with friends, and a visit behind the scenes at Etsy!
I can’t wait to visit Brooklyn again-it is definitely a place where you can spend years exploring and still never see everything. I hope you had fun sightseeing and playing tourist with me, Happy Sunday!
I just want to reach out and touch all of the amazing colors & textures!
Congratulations, Jessika! You have been a great support system for indie sellers and it is great that etsy has recognized your talent.
wow!! I feel like I was there too! 🙂
So much fun! 🙂
lovely photos! I want to checkout Brooklyn someday! It’s on my “to do” travel list 🙂
Love these photos Jessika! I took pictures of recycling bins and Etsy’s new front desk made with garbage and you captured sights and sounds of true Brooklyn! LOL.
I’m reliving that day when I met you!
Great pictures Jessika. Just heard the Avett Brothers sing “Brooklyn, Brooklyn take me in” live.
It always does…..right?
wow! i never knew etsy had a headquarters! thanks for sharing this wonderful experience! 🙂
It does say a lot how a Canadian reads friendliness. I married one and he’s my friendly meter. I’d love to go to Brooklyn based on your account and these photos. Well done!
I spent the better part of my twenties living on Henry Street savoring every walk, window shop, and quaint walk through the brownstone, tree lined streets of Brooklyn. I so miss those days and adventures! Your pictures took me right back- thank you for sharing. Smilw
