Handmade Holiday Shop: Sew Beastly

Hello, there! I’m Citlalli, the gal behind Sew Beastly. Sew Beastly focuses on providing handmade accessories that are eco-friendly, functional, modern and fun! Sew Beastly got started after I attended my first and last sewing class; little did I know then that I I would soon find myself immersed in the craft of sewing. I taught myself how to sew with the help of books, much trial and error and a few YouTube videos. Fast forward to the creation of my logo, and Sew Beastly was born!

Most of my creations are made with repurposed, recycled, reclaimed, and/or organic fabrics and leathers. Every Sew Beastly item has a thick middle layer that is made from recycled plastic bottles and is also meant to protect your goodies. The middle layer of one tote contains an average of ten recycled plastic bottles. All fabric scraps are given a new life in the “Scrap Me Pretty Collection”, and the new “Hand-Printed Collection” is full of my original designs that are hand-printed in small batches with water based paints. All orders are gift wrapped (free of charge); and all packaging is made from recycled materials + is biodegradable, yes, even the bubble mailers and plastic bags!

All items are Texas-made with great attention to detail. Every time you purchase a Sew Beastly item you can be assured that you are receiving a product that is one of a kind, just like you! My items are inspired by the necessities of everyday living, a love for preserving Mother Earth, and the desire of following your dreams, no matter how crazy you might think they are.
