Happy Friday friends, we’re starting something new on OMHG to help us meet up, make new friends & share our work + news with the community!
Here is how it works:
1. Every month we’ll post a Friendly Friday meet up post on the blog & Oh My! Facebook page.
2. Stop by and say hi in the comments: tell us a bit about you, share your social media links & feel free to post important news you’d like to be seen or latest products/projects. Bonus points for adding your location so you can make local connections.
3. Say hi to other commenters, follow new makers + entrepreneurs, strike up a conversation. Who knows, maybe your next collaboration or best supporter ever will meet you here!
Looking for more connection like this in your creative life and business? For $10 a month/$100 a year you can become an OMHG member and be adopted by our community of goodness, learn about membership here.

I am currently hosting a charity auction for Boxes of Hope, which is a charity that delivers basic necessities to the homeless community in AZ. You can find all of the items up for auction, from some amazing vendors at http://tinyurl.com/q6rc8xj
Hi Katy! We’ve already met, but I wanted to say hello again and tell you again how cute your shop is!! Are you in AZ? Did we talk about this already? I’m down near Bisbee. 😛
Hi! My name is Cassie and I run the Kute as a button Shop on Storenvy! I love all things retro, pinup, and rockabilly. I make retro-inspired fabric button jewelry and hair accessories and crochet house goods. I am currenly running a sale called “A Grandpa’s Love”. My grandpa who was my biggest fan and best friend passed away recently. He always told me to find ways to use my talents for the good of others. With this sale I am donating 100% of all proceeds to help pay for medical and funeral expenses for him. My website is: http://www.kuteasabuttonshop.storenvy.com you can find all other social media links on there. I am located in Nashville, TN… would love to find some local crafters!
Hi Cassie! Your items are so fun! I love the buttons. I’m so sorry to hear about your grandfather and think its so wonderful that he was such a beautiful influence on you and supporter of your work. My grandmother was similarly a big influence in my artistic endeavors. I believe they are both still helping us find our way. 🙂
I really love this idea! But I don’t know if it makes more sense to introduce myself here or on the facebook page so I’m doing both.
I’m Janelle from Vancouver Island. I’m really excited about my snail mail painted Letters From Vancouver Island monthly subscription. I also offer an art-by-the-month art print subscription. You can see these plus my other art at http://www.janellehardy.etsy.com
My fb page is http://www.facebook.com/janellehardyarts
And I’ve started a Sunday Morning Pleasures newsletter because I love writing about life and creativity, and people seem to really enjoy my stories. You can sign up for that at http://www.janellehardy.com
I’m currently in the process of building my website which will offer my art and intuitive creativity courses. Once it’s up (soon, soon) I will be starting a blog series on lusciously, soulfully creative people. If you’re interested in being profiled, and have a web presence, PM me at my fb artist site and we can talk 🙂
Whew! I’ve already made a lovely connection on Vancouver Island because of OMHG’s match+maker idea. The lovely Jessica Davis.
Hi Janelle, so fun to discover your shop and newsletter – I just signed up, I LOVE the concept of Sunday Morning Pleasures.
We should partner for some kind of giveaway – Petit Mail subscription for kids, and Painted Letters for mom. Seems like a glorious combo!
hi Alison
I checked out your Petit Mail, it’s a wonderful idea too. I’d be into partnering in some way. Thanks also for subscribing to my newsletter. I don’t see you as a new subscriber though – I’m wondering if I’m having troubles with my signup form. Can you tell me if you submitted and confirmed your e-mail already? If you did, I’ll have to fix it…
I just tried subscribing again…and it’s possibly not working..I didn’t get the email confirmation….
Hi Janelle! I love your art and I’m really looking forward to your new website! Hooray!! I just went to favorite your Etsy shop and realized it was already a favorite. 🙂
hi Kimberly, that’s too funny! Thanks for the compliment 🙂
Wow I love this – and I’m already finding new creatives to connect with, which is fabulous!

You are amazing and awesome 🙂
Very super!
Hi friends! I’m Kimberly from Joyful Roots – http://www.joyfulroots.com. I create uplifting art, illustrations, fabric and other goodies which I sell in my Etsy shop http://www.etsy.com/joyfulroots. I also had a baby (recently-ish) who is unbelievably already 7 months old. He just started crawling but is already trying to walk. Silly kiddo. He’s pretty much my whole world right now but I do try to stop by OMHG still when I can (love this place).
Two plans I have for my shop that have been in the works for a while now and are slowly moving along are: screenprinted shirts and onesies and baby bow ties with my fabric. If you follow me on instragram – http://www.instragram.com/joyfulroots you probably saw tidbits of this news a while back. 🙂
I’m located in way-Southern Arizona 5 miles from Mexico between Bisbee and Sierra Vista…but I like to say I live in Bisbee because it’s a really awesome town. Anyone close by?
hi Kimberly – just to let you know, I clicked on your Etsy link above and it says “Uh Uh, page not found”
Whoops! Thanks Janelle. My shop is actually at http://www.etsy.com/shop/joyfulroots. I actually had the same problem with yours and meant to say something. Ever since etsy changed the shop address, it messes me up!
Well now yours is working! LOL. Not sure what I did before.
That’s really strange. It’s hard to understand and keep up with all these changes sometimes. Thanks for telling me when it wasn’t working though 🙂
