Big thanks to lettering extraordinaire Shauna Lynn Panczyszyn for creating the lettering for our theme this month-isn’t it just beautiful?

Happy December Merry Makers! This month on OMHG we will be filling the internets with cheer as we gather to share stories, recipes, tutorials + inspiration to help us all have a joyful holiday season. We also have some fun treats planned like our Holiday Gift Guide and the rest of our handmade pop up shops!  For many the holidays are a happy time of focusing on being kinder and more present for the people we love, giving back to our communities, and making merry memories-for others this season can be a difficult and emotional time that requires extra special planning + tenderness to stay joyful. No matter how you feel I hope our theme this month is comforting and fills us up with merriment. So snuggle up close to our virtual fireplace, pour yourself a warm cup of goodness, and get cozy!

Are you a Merry Maker?

…with a story, photograph, recipe, tutorial or printable to share with our community? Have you ever made someone’s season a little brighter or had someone shine a light for you during a difficult year? Do you have family traditions or recipes to cheer us? Ideas on how to celebrate with our communities or plan festive gatherings? Maybe a little printable goodness or tutorials for creating a meaning-filled season? Join in this month by submitting to OMHG!

OR

…share the merry making goodness by tagging your special moments and projects this month on Twitter, Instagram or Facebook with the tags #omhg & #merrymakers and we’ll share them throughout December to inspire us all.

Cheers to the Merry Makers!

In June of 2016 I supported my love Chris as we dealt with the death of both his parents and a co-worker over a three week period. This essay written the summer of those deaths is my attempt to make sense of grief and the struggle to carry all that I care for. Originally published […]
