QOTW: When do you unplug & connect?

Wednesday, July 9, 2014 by Jessika Hepburn

QOTW on #OMHG: When do you unplug & connect?

“Doing nothing means unplugging from the compulsion to always keep ourselves busy, the habit of shielding ourselves from certain feelings, the tension of trying to manipulate our experience before we even fully acknowledge what that experience is.” ~Sharon Salzberg

When is the last time you unplugged so you could really connect-with yourself, family/friends, and world around you?

Just as important as our to-do’s and grand plans is doing nothing-something which can often be the hardest to-do of all. Our question this week asks us to really look at how often we are turning off all the notifications and devices that keep us connected while disconnecting us from the world around + inside us. When do you allow yourself to unplug & connect & what do you choose to do when all-the-things are turned off and you are fully present?

Our weekly questions are based on our themes (this summer we’re on our 2nd annual Camp OMHG adventure) & kick off our #OMHG chats every Thursday from 1-2pm EST! Meet up in the comments to talk about our question of the week, connect with other creatives, learn from each other and swap knowledge.
